Adventures in distraction

Videogames: finished Fable, Oblivion, Okami, Zack & Wiki, Metroid Prime 3. All were a lot of fun, though Z&W and Okami were standouts for both format and content. Currently playing Oblivion: Shivering Isles and then on to Grim Fandango (which I somehow missed the first, second, and third times around).

TV series: finished Deadwood season 1 (excellent), Battlestar season 4A (some truly amazing episodes), Arrested Development season 3 (still great, but self-consciously stuck in a rut. Maeby there'll be a movie!?!). Currently watching Deadwood season 2 and then on to Spooks/MI5 seasons 5 and 6, and Lost seasons 3B and 4.

Printed matter: finished Infinite Jest (mindblowing-- quirkily written books often have me thinking in their idiom for weeks afterwards, especially if they're long and engaging books), League of Extraordinary Expensive Gentlemen: The Black Dossier (fun!), Invisible Armies and Dark Places (Neal Stephenson lite?), and some airport books by David Baldacci that I can't remember. Currently reading Dhalgren, and no idea what after that.

Also, way too many puzzles. Looking forward to Conorado, and to Ghost Patrol and Hunt after that.
